Staff Picks is an exhibition series that takes place in the offices of the Elmhurst Art Museum, organized by Exhibitions Manager Lal Bahcecioglu and curated by the whole staff. 

The exhibition series will allow staff members to showcase artworks of their selection, based purely on personal interests and not necessarily in alignment with the conceptual framework of the ongoing exhibitions taking place in the main galleries. The works that will be selected could come from the museum's own collection, or it could be a work by a friend, a postcard from a distant country, or maybe just a composition of post-it notes on the wall highlighting the artistic side of our office staff. Additionally, the visitors will have the chance to wander around the offices of the museum, which are usually kept away from the public eye by the label that most of us are familiar with: “staff only.”

The offices will host new works concurrently with the exhibitions at the main galleries, and will have opening receptions at the same time. Staff Picks will only be on view through weekends—while the offices are empty and staff members are enjoying their days-off. We encourage our visitors to leave a note on staff desks to share thoughts.
